Reverse Racism

When I was younger I always thought that everyone could be a victim of racism. But now, growing up and having new terms being thrown at me, it made me wonder - is reverse racism a thing? Personally speaking, it's not. After searching around online I found an article that was quite interesting.

It's no lie that the majority race is white people - all these systems put in place benefit them in a very large way. Sure, it's changing a bit but not as fast as we'd like. I guess a good point is that we're atleast making progress.

An interesting point that the article made was "white people are not oppressed". Now, reading this over several times I though that was impossible - surely everyone would have something that would make them oppressed. But really, the only examples I could think of were to do with anyone that wasn't white. And even if it was a white person it was more so on an individual level rather than an entire race. People of colour are oppressed and it's very easy to see through things such as slavery and so on.

As you think more and more it is pretty much an obvious answer to the question. How can the white race feel oppressed when they were the ones who pretty much created and put into place the system that we all live by today? This can be seen through things such as getting a job or even making friends. Even if a white person does feel oppressed, isn't it more from an individual level rather than their entire race? Cause if you compare their statistics to POC then reverse racism wouldn't even be considered.
